We’ve implemented practices from leaders in cattle temperament and management in order ensure our cattle remain a joy to work and our ranching environment is happy and safe for both cows and even the youngest of cowboys.

BREEDING

The long body type and lighter bone structure of our cattle means easier calving for both the mother and calf and our genetics are carefully managed through the introduction of selected breeds to have healthy cows who can provide good milk to grow strong and healthy calves.

Each of our cattle are bred selectively with an AI-pairing designed to optimize the genetics of both cow and calf.

BEEF QUALITY

The genetic combination of our market herd results in beef that isn’t fatty or tough, but is lean yet still well-marbled.

The fat content of our beef has a lower melting point than other breeds, meaning that more of the flavor is released into the meat during cooking and creates a melt-in-your-mouth meal.

EFFICIENCY

High feed and carcass efficiency of our cattle is vital to our program. Feed efficient cattle convert more nutrients to weight, meaning our mothers stay healthier and our calves gain weight and muscle more quickly that other mainstream breeds.

The elegant, large frame of our cattle results in higher percentages of premium cuts of beef per carcass. Minimalistic external fat and a lighter bone structure means more high-quality, flavorful beef is available to our customers.

HEALTH

Good animal health is the foundation to a great herd. We’ve chosen breeds and cultivate qualities like hardiness and resiliency and take great care in maintaining that health in-line with the highest standards of animal husbandry and with veterinary oversight.

Our nutrition program is hormone and animal by-product free and optimized and individualized for our animals.

We are committed to ethical animal treatment and the herd enjoys open pastures, and 24/7 access to clean water and shelter, are under a veterinarian-advised vaccination program to prevent disease, and are wellness checked daily.
